A Seaplane Adventure Elopement at Chatterbox Falls

Sunshine Coast, BC

Flying into the Fjords by Seaplane.

Their day began on the Sunshine Coast, where we boarded a seaplane and lifted off into the mist. The closer we got to Princess Louisa Inlet, the more dramatic the landscape became: steep granite walls, layers of fog drifting through the trees, and water so calm it felt like a mirror.

A Raging Waterfall & Pouring Rain

The moment we stepped off the plane, the skies opened. Not light rain. Actual downpour.
The kind that instantly soaks you, fills the air with mist, and turns the entire forest into a living, breathing soundtrack.

And somehow… it made everything even more magical.

S & J didn’t hesitate. They laughed, put up their umbrella’s and walked toward the waterfall to say their vows. The roar of Chatterbox Falls blended with their words. Their hair was dripping, their clothes were soaked, and their smiles were unreal.

This is the part of elopement days I love deeply. The acceptance, the surrender, the trust that the moment matters more than the conditions.

Vows Beneath The Falls

They chose a small flat section of rock near the base of the waterfall. Mist curled around them. Rain collected on their eyelashes. Every word they spoke felt huge, echoing in one of the most powerful places in BC.

There was no audience.
No décor.
Just two people, a waterfall, and this wildly beautiful inlet.

It couldn’t have been more perfect.

Exploring Chatterbox Falls

After their ceremony, we wandered along the boardwalks and the edge of the inlet, taking photos as the rain continued to pour. The forest was vibrant with rich deep greens, dripping ferns, glistening beams of light slipping through clouds.

The best part?
They were fully present the entire time.
Laughing. Dancing. Running through puddles. Holding onto each other like the rain didn’t matter at all.

These are the days that remind me why I do what I do.
